  • Solar 2.8GHz Flux

Absolute values of solar flux radiated at a frequency of 2.8GHz (10.7cm)

By using a 1.8M parabolic antenna and a solar flux receiver at 2.8GHz, KSWC measures values of the absolute solar flux radiated at a frequency of 2.8GHz (10.7cm), based on the Solar Flux Unit (SFU). Since the values of the absolute solar flux at 2.8GHz are closely related to the solar activity cycle, they comprise significant data that ground observation stations can use to monitor solar activity. Canada and Japan also conduct similar monitoring.
